Port Talbot Steelworks is one of the largest steel plants in Europe. It currently employs 4,000 people in the local area. In January 2024, Tata Steel announced that around half of those jobs will be lost. However, Port Talbot's thriving football scene is stepping up to make sure they can offer help, solace and an escape to those in their communities who need it most.

We set out to speak to the people ingrained within Port Talbot football and find out what playing football means to them and how their clubs will respond when their town and community needs them most.
